Halloween!!

Thanks to hand-me-downs and things found in closets, we had an awesome and cheap halloween this year. Everyone got to be something new this year and I spent only about $20 this year. I think I spent more than that in candy this year. Our neighboorhood is CRAZY at Halloween. Everyone from the reservation comes into town and parks at the church on our street and trick or treats in our hood. A lot of our neighboors said they went through $50 worth of candy in the first hour. Luckily we dodged the bullet because we were gone trick or treating during the rush and only had a few when we got back. But before we could get going we couldn't answer the door fast enough so Riley sat on the porch and went through a bowl of candy in about 15 minutes. Riley as a Geisha
Nolan as a pumkin, he was content to ride in the wagon the whole time and eat candy. Coulter was a good brother and took Nolans candy bucket with him, and picked out the best "baby" candy he could....according to Coulter.

Coulter as Frankenstein, this is the only costume I had to buy, and I got a smokin deal on it.

Maycie as a sassy little ladybug

One of the Best Halloweens Yet. You have got to love Arizona weather for Halloween.

Goodbye Summer

Thanks for the Memories........ Coulter Scaling the wall at the Halloween Bash

Riley at a soccer game (love the look on her face)

Our last trip to Lone Rock. The water was SO high this year, the beach disappeared and the water was all the way up to the sticker bushes. Not very fun to go swimming and get caught up in a hidden sticker bush in the water. It really cut down on our trips out to the beach.

Nolan loves the water, he doesnt want to be held. He'll just keep crawling out until his head is under water, then still keep going. He's a sneaky little fella.

Veterans Day Weekend

We had a busy Veterans Day Weekend. My pics loaded backwards in order and I am too lazy to fix them. So here is our weekend in reverse. We took a trip out to Navajo Bridge to see if there were any California Condors hangin out there. We were in luck because we saw FOUR. For those who dont know Condors were almost extinct with only 21 left in the world. There are now 181 in the wild. There are a group that hang out in the Vermillion cliffs near where we live. They are also huge. The largest bird in North America.

Riley also participated in her second Girls on the Run 5K in Flagstaff. Cody was her running buddy. They did great and ran it in aout 40 minutes.

And last, but not least.....the vetrerans day parade. Maycie got to ride shotgun in Cody's patrol car and throw out dum dum suckers.

Riley walked with her Girl Scout troop. She was on the opposite side of the road from me so I wasn't able to get a good photo.

Coulter rode with his Cub Scout troop. This was his version of "smile" when I yelled "Coulter smile, so I can take a picture"

Summer Has Finally Come

I have finally updated, our camera died of exhaustion after our trip to Disneyland, poor little guy. Anyway, new camera and new pics. It finally warmed up enough to head down to the lake.
Nolan has been working long and hard to get the perfect beach body, and as you can tell it really paid off.

Maycie's dance recital was a big success, no tears, she practically threw the other girls out of the way to get onto that stage.

More updates soon including "our famous house" and Nolan turning into a chia pet.

Moose Turns Four

Happy Happy Birthday Maycie!!!

Maycie got to party, party, party, for her fourth birthday at Disneyland.

Here are some fun facts about our favorite four year old:

  • Favorite Foods consist of Cheetos, Bologna, and Fruit snacks.

  • Wants to be when she grows up: " A Visiting teacher, and a Mom with four kids, but I am going to work so the babysitter has to change poopy diapers and not me" (smart girl)

  • Will only wear dresses and has to have a bow in her hair.

Funny things said by Maycie this week:

After a few minutes of watching conference,"Oh man, can we just go to church?"

Me: "Im going to change my name and not tell you kids so you won't bug me.

Maycie:" You should name yourself annoying Mom"

After one of the kids accused her of wiping a boogey on them. "No I didn't, I roll my boogeys into little balls and drop them on the floor, so there." (remind me to vacuum).

Happy Happy Birthday to our green eyed red haired Beauty.

Cody and Jody take the kids to Disneyland

We just returned from out trip to Disneyland to celebrate Maycie's fourth Birthday (at least that's why we told her we went). The weather was nice, Nolan was an angel, the parks were way too crowded, and Maycie got so scared on Space Mountain she bit me. We still had a good time: Maycie really likes to do this pose.

The girls were excited to be in front for this fast paced roller coaster.

We waited FOREVER for toys story 3. Maycie still gave it a thumbs up.

Nolan thought this was hilarious. He grabbed Minnie's nose with both hands and left his mark with a pile of slobber.

Nolan thought Small World was fascinating, the ceiling of it anyway. He watched the whole thing like this.

The Winnie The Pooh ride freaked him out a little though.

Riley and Coulter siiting this close without taking a swing at each other? This really is the happiest place on earth.

News Update

A very Happy ninth Birthday to Riley!!!!
Riley has had an excellent year this year. She has gotten 100% on ALL her spelling tests this year. She had an awesome soccer season, including two game winning goals. We cant wait to see what year nine will bring for her.
In other news Riley sold 186 boxes of girl scout cookies this year, beating last years record. She has also started basketball, and is no girl scout on the court. If she is guarding you on the court, she will knock that ball out of your hands before you know it, and maybe knock you out in the process.

Coulter is also doing well. The other day he asked Cody if he "hangs out in a donut shop all day" Man alive, that is funny stuff.
Because Coulter can never find any of his things I have begun a "think like Coulter" campaign, is has been very successful, so far I have found his ties for church at the bottom of his toy box, home work can be found daily in the bathroom, reading book=behind the toaster, scriptures in the linen closet, and all dirty socks and underwear are usually in the far reaches of under his bed. Everything else he says he cant find are usually right in front of his face.

Maycie is well, Maycie. She is busy prancing her little heart out practicing for her role as tinkebell for her upcoming dance recital.

We have discovered that Nolan is some sort of magical creature. What is so magical about him? He apparently requires no sleep. (not kidding) I did manage to capture a rare sight of him sleeping, which in retrospect was a dumb idea, the flash woke him up and he was ready to party. Oh well, at least I have the memory.

My Papa is the POPO

Keeping the other babies in check.

Saturday, January 22, 2011

These pictures all loaded in order backwards, but I am too lazy to fix them, so here we go.
I give you the best picture of 2010:
Maycie ringing in the new year. Somehow Maycie got a little tipsy from her sparkling cider, she spilled it 6 times, on three different people in a span of two minutes.

I also give you Maycie the Sunbeam. She is working hard to memorize her Articles of Faith and has already passed off the first one to the Bishop.

Thanks to Grandma's gift, Riley is enjoying the luxury of a good night's rest. Maycie thinks this is hilarious EVERY NIGHT she gets a good belly laugh to see Riley sleeping like this when she goes in to bed. I guess seeing your older sister sleeping in an owl night mask never gets old.
Nolan finds true love in Maycie's sleeping Beauty Baby. He could babble to her forever.

In the act of ultimate betrayal, Maycie asks Santa for a fire truck. I tried to talk her in to the Police cruiser, but the girl loves her firemen. She really wanted it for the working fire hose, which she used right away.......to spray Nolan in the face. He was quite insulted.

I thought last years wheely Christmas was entertaining. Watching three kids learn to rollerblade/princess rollerskate is downright hilarious. Good thing our enclosed patio also doubles as an indoor roller rink so I dont get cold while I laugh.

Nolan gets a Bumbo, and also gets fat overnight.

Santa came and trashed the place.

Riley stars as "Elf number 2" in the LONGEST least exciting play ever (except for Riley, she was fabulous).
THE END
