Cedar Hill Ranch

Just before we moved we went to our good friends' ranch near Kingman. They have set up a old west town out there with lots of activities and animals. The kids love to go there. This time Jim and Lynda went all out and the kids got to make candles, wash clothes the old fashioned way, saw logs, rope, ride horses, make butter, and all sorts of other things. Thanks Jim and Lynda, we miss you already. Maycie had a great time at the Saloon

Check out this giant dog, this is Maycie's best friend

Fire Fighting in Flip Flops

A couple of months ago we took the kids to the school to play on the playground, on our way home we saw a huge cloud of Black smoke on the 93, just up from our house, we decided to take a look. It was a huge motor home on fire on the side of the highway. Cody parked our Tahoe on the side othe road and ran to see if everyone had gotten out. No one else driving by seemed to be concerned with the fire or the family on side of the road, they just kept driving past even though the flames were shooting out into the lane. Then after forever we see Cody go into the highway to try to stop traffic. Now first of all, Cody's outfit of choice for that day was basketball shorts, flipflops, and a mickey mouse t-shirt that Maycie gave him for Christmas. At least he had his badge with him in his wallet. If you think motorists would be willing to listen to a man standing in the middle of the road directing traffic in the before mentioned outfit, you would be wrong....dead wrong. A few choice words were yelled to Cody, cars driving right past him, and a near toe running over incident occurred. By this time the propane tanks on the RV started to explode and all heck was breaking loose. (it was awesome by the way) Still people were trying to sneak by Cody to get on their way, never mind flames shooting into the road. Finally ADOT came to help Cody and blocked off the road. The Fire Department from Bagdad FINALLY came, but there was nothing left of the RV by then. So two hours later we took the family and their dog with us to our house until someone came to pick them up. Another exciting day in Wikieup.

Way to go Idaho

We have finally made a triumphant return from a very loooooong trip to Utah and Idaho. Cody had a job offer with McCall Police department in Idaho, so he went up there to test which includes, Physchological exam, drug testing, polygraph test and physical test, all of which he passed with flying colors. Now we are just waiting for them to complete his background investigation and we are out of here. McCall is a ski resort town in Western Idaho. I have never seen so much snow in my life. They had snow sculptures all over town form last weeks winter carnival. The snow from the snow plows is piled as high as a house.
It is very tricky snow, it looks safe to cross a field until you get 1/2 across and you sink up to your waist, then you have to turn back and get your crying two year old and carry her the rest of the way......awesome.

We had an awesome time at the hotel. The kids liked the pool, running out side and stuffing snow down their swimsuits then jumping into the hottub.

We also baptized Riley while we were in Utah, everything went very well. We are thankfull for all those who came and helped us out with everything

Christmas 2009

This year's Chrtistmas was a success...
Santa brought Maycie her American Girl doll, which she named after herself. (thank you american girl for finally making a red headed doll)
He brought Riley another American Girl doll and a horse for her to ride. (the doll, not Riley, other wise Santa would not be invited next year)

Maycie's favorite toy is this hopper ball, every few minutes she will say, "I'll be right back, I have to go bounce for a minute."

Coulter is enjoying his arsenal of Star Wars toys.
The best part had been watching Riley and Coulter trying to skate in their Heely's. Man alive it's funny. Cody and I enjoyed the presents we got. One of which I accidentally told Cody what it was on Christmas Eve night. Then Cody continued to spread Christmas cheer by working and handing out tickets on Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
