Cartoon Classic

Today Riley and Coulter Competed at the Cartoon Classic Meet at their Gym. They did an escellent job. Riley scored a first place on the vault and second place on beam. She took fourth in the all around. She has since turned her medal and ribbons into permanent accessories.

Coulter took second in ALL his events including second in the all around. I have heard him a few timed saying to himself, "I am so proud of myself."

Cody and myself won the most awsome parents award for sitting through a three hour gym meet, plus having a pain in the butt two year old alongside. (Two year old later threw up all over once we go home, Pain in the buttness understood.)

Finding Fergus

This is our new little dog Fergus (we did not pick the name). We got him from a rescue shelter while we were in Las Vegas last week. He is a purebred Jack Russel Terrier puppy. He came already trained and housebroken, thats the way we like them. Riley is in love with him, Coulter finds him acceptable, and Maycie was terrified of him. She has since gotten over her fear and now follows him around all day forcing him to eat pieces of dog food.
He is not the smartest dog in the world. His hobbies include:
Drinking out of the toilet
Howling at the crack of Dawn (my personal favorite)
And Barking at Dogs on the T.V.
Despite this he has begun to mend broken hearts, one small one in particular and for this I am thankful.

Missing Rocky

While we were in Utah this week we recieved a very sad and shocking phone call. Our neighboor's Rotweiller/pitbulls escaped their yard, broke part of our siding off our house to get through our fencing, and killed our sweet little Poodle Rocky. We all miss Rocky very much and we are glad he was part of our family, although it was not long enough. We are thankfull for our other neighboors and Animal control who took care of Rocky for us and also capturing the other dogs.

Utah vs. Arizona

This week we had to make a bittersweet trip to Utah for the funeral of Cody's cousin David, who passed away from cancer, Cody was especially heartbroken. It was a beautiful funeral. Cody was honored to march with the DPS honorgaurd (David was once an officer). We wish the best for his young family and we will always have them in our prayers.
Arizona vs. Utah
This is what we did this week in Arizona:
Jumped on the tramp in swimsuits with water.
This is what we did this week in Utah: Froze our butts off
I think we will use the look on Maycie's face to determine the winner.
The winner is: Arizona
We will be back in Utah next week and we are planning to get squeeky cheese in Beaver, so there may be a chance for redemption...We really like squeeky cheese.

Terrible Two

Our Little Stinkerpot will celebrate her 2nd Birthday tomorrow. I can't believe my Baby is two. And so to honor our favorite little screamer here are some interesting facts about Maycie:

Was born two weeks early

First word: Coulter

Favorite Food: Rice

Will only wear pajamas with Kitty Cats or Dora on them

Knows how to spell her name: IE57 (her version)

Has a scream that will make you go deaf for several seconds if you are close enough.

Happy Birthday Maycie,

I hope I survive your childhood.

Tidbits

Here is the lowdown on what has been going on this week:

*Good job to Riley who performed a cartwheel on the beam yesterday in Gymnastics.

*Congratulations to Kung Fu Coulter, he advanced to a Yellow Belt at Karate.

Coulter also lost his first tooth this week....only he really lost it, he has no idea when he lost it or where it went. Anyone who knows Coulter should not find this surprising. I have a feeling it is making it's way through his digestive track.

*Maycie is potty trained, it only took about a week, almost as good as Coulter. Today as I was breaking out into a potty song and dance in the kitchen and singing about what a big poop Maycie had just done, I looked up to see the UPS guy standing in my open front door smiling at me, I think he thought my moves where awesome.....because they were.

In other news Maycie woke up this morning looking like Pippy Longstocking. Enjoy.

Maycie's New Groove

For a while we couldnt figure out where Maycie got these saucy new dance moves. Then we realized that while Riley and Coulter were in gymnastics Maycie sat and watched the older girl's hip hop class. So thank you girls for showing my two year old how to shake her stuff.
