Our New Diggs

First off, a big thanks to Maycie for your hard work during the move.
We have arrived in our new town and it is very Bizzare. It reminds me of Radiator Springs. We had some people come and help us move in wich was nice. Especially the guy who handed stuff out of the truck and called loudly the contents of which he was handing off. Every time. Glad we put all the unmentionables in non see through containers.
This is the view that we get to see, It is so much nicer than seeing a hundred other houses that look exactly like yours.
This is the Kid's school wich is a whole other post in itself. Let me just say one lunch lady, and old fashioned desks that open from the top.
They also have much of the same playground equipment that I had when I was a kid. Riley is currently trying to master the "cherry drop" on their bars.
"The Post Office" look familiar Meadow?
And finally, the part the kills me. This is our church. It is very little house on the Prarie. I was told that is was bought from the Baptists for One Dollar. ONE DOLLAR!? I know that Mormons are bargain shoppers, but really.
Note the crooked steeple, maybe this brought the price down. Cody said it was probably when they broke the sides of the cross off to make it a straight steeple. That made me laugh. Hard.

Were out of Here

Our Junk is packed.
Our Goodbyes are said
Whatever didnt fit in the Uhaul will be left on the curb and is free for the taking.
You better be fast, our neighboors have been circling like vultures after we gave a few things away already.
We are already to move to our new tiny little town in the country
All I have left to do is lose my front teeth and learn to cook Rattlesnake.

Cody and Jody do SO CAL Part Two...

Day Five: Sea World
Way too expensive

Get to hold sea stars, Riley is in Heaven
Dolphins jump, we clap
Riley throws up
Cody and Coulter ride Trip to Atlantis
Cody and Coulter sneak onto Trip to Atlantis for a second ride, get stuck in an elevator on the ride, I fear the worst.
Get lost in Sea World while the park is closing
Day Six: La Jolla
Everyone's favorite day
A million surfers
See a dolphin in the water
Kids find tons of shells
Sea Gull takes off with Maycie's shoe, chase follows, pink Barbie shoe is recovered
Riley finds a piece of Sea weed, thinks it is fish tail. Ha Ha.
Drive home.
Remind me again why I live in the desert?

Cody and Jody do SO CAL

This past week we spent our time in California at Disneyland and San Diego. Here are some of the highlights.

Day One: Travel to Disney

I drive the whole way, blood pressure rises.

Meet a talkative Canadian in hot tub

Day Two: Disney

Crowded

Hot

Maycie freaks out on every ride

Maycie loves parade

Day Three: California Adventure

crowded

hot

Have a heart attack on Tower of Terror, meanwhile trying to shove Riley and Coulter underneath me, who were also on the ride.

Ride all the rides, go to hotel early because we can not longer feel our legs and feet.

Day Four: "Cousins"

Meet up with Cody's brother Jason and his family who were also there from Idaho.

Riley rides Screaming California three times

Riley almost pees her pants while in line for above ride.

Riley loses tooth

Maycie sticks head through railing, it barely comes out

We stay until closing

Tooth fairy comes to hotel brings two dollars (one from tooth fairy, one from Tinkerbell)

To Be Continued..

Punk Jack

I dusted off the sewing machine and cranked out this years Halloween outfits. Jack Skellington shirts and matching twirl skirts for the girls. They will also double as our Disney outfits for this weekend when we head to California. I am glad to be done, sewing machine and I are not good friends. There were some choice words exchanged and an ugly ruffle making incident, but in the end we made up. Its a good thing because the kids need new bedspreads. Note Maycie's subtle smile.

In other news Maycie learned to pick her nose, we are bursting with pride.
